What are the types of electronic signatures?

The legislation of Ukraine distinguishes the following types of signatures (in addition to a simple signature on paper):

Electronic signature (hereinafter - "EP") - electronic data that is added by the signatory to other electronic data or logically associated with them and used by him as a signature (paragraph 12 of Article 1 of the Law "On electronic trust services"). EP includes a simple scan of the image of the signature on paper, and advanced and qualified signatures.

Advanced electronic signature - an electronic signature created as a result of cryptographic conversion of electronic data to which this electronic signature is associated, using the means of advanced electronic signature and private key, uniquely associated with the signer, and which allows electronic identification of the signer and identify violations of the integrity of electronic data to which this electronic signature is associated (paragraph 44 of Article 1 of the Law "On electronic trust services"). As a rule, such signatures are offered by banks that have not created their own provider of qualified electronic services.

Qualified electronic signature - an advanced electronic signature, which is created using a qualified electronic signature and is based on a qualified public key certificate (paragraph 23 of Article 1 of the Law "On electronic trust services");

Electronic signature with a unique identifier - data in electronic form in the form of alphanumeric sequence, attached to other electronic data by the person who accepted the offer (offer) to enter into an electronic agreement, and sent to the other party to this agreement (paragraph 6 of Article 3 of the Law "On e-commerce ").
